Along with other award shows this year, the American Music Awards was hosted virtually on Nov. 22 by actress Taraji P. Henson. The awards show had multiple categories ranging from individual songs to music video awards.

Although the announcements of the winners were held virtually, some musical artists, such as Doja Cat, Justin Bieber and Machine Gun Kelly streamed performances of their music during the show. Over 30+ awards were given in the 2020 AMAs.
