New gas station addition helps fund Reagan
May 30, 2019
As many of you may know, Reagan is very involved in community outreach and making everyone a part of the Pfafftown pride. Over the past couple of years, Principal Brad Royal has made this very clear to the student body.
Reagan is very fortunate to receive unwavering support from businesses within the community. Some of these places include the famous El Maguey, Friendly Nails, and now the BP gas station.
In April, the gas station located within two miles of the school made quite the impact for the growth of Reagan. An impact that is very rare to be found near other schools.
Located at this station are two brand new accessible gas pumps decorated in Reagan colors and the school’s logo. Safe to say, this new addition is quite hard to miss.
When customers use this pump, a portion of the proceeds earned from gas sales will be donated back into the school’s funds. This allows the community to give directly back to Reagan in a way that also benefits them.
“Although I do not drive yet, my parents saw this new pump as a great addition to Pfafftown,” said sophomore Ryan Nebinger. “As soon as I get my license, I will certainly fuel up at the pumps.”
With the closeness of the station to the school, parents, students and teachers will be very likely to use this stop to fill up before or after the school day.
With the amount of immense pride the community has for Reagan, this new pump is sure to be a popular ground to fuel up.
In all honesty, what other school can say they have their very own gas pump?
Royal has always had an emphasis on making the community a part of the school. This new pump station will be a way to include everyone and encourage all to help Reagan High School.
While the gas stations may get crowded and fueling at this pump may be limited, any source of profit will greatly benefit the school.
While we thrive off of the motto “We are Pfafftown” this new addition emphasizes the extensive influence Reagan has on the surrounding community.
From now on, if you ever need to fill up on some gas, check out the BP on Yadkinville Road and help support the school.
